  • BLEH.

    It's time for an update.

Uh...I'm failing Biology. Yup. Also, I went to court for the first time. Fun times. And by fun I mean I was nervous and didn't want to be there. My original judge was late, like really late, so they moved us to a different room where the judge was in a hurry and spoke fast and I didn't hear/understand him. But he did drop my points and keep my fine (lame). The cop showed up too. He said I was polite, cooperative, and very apologetic. So there you go. I'm nice.

Also, I drove up to New York for the first time. My cousin goes to school up there and he's never been to Renn Faire so we went and picked him up. It sucked though cause it rained all weekend and was kind of a bust but whatever, we got him out of school for a while.

Uh...also, my car has a dent in it. This is not cool. Ugh. Apparently I can pop it out but ugh. It's just a pain.

I'm not really sure what else to say. I need a job. Like...I'm sick of spending my dad's money and I want money of my own, money that I've earned myself. So...I don't know.

Also, the new season of Dexter and Heroes are both amazing. Imma go watch Heroes now.

Oh! NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is next month. Aaannndddd I'm gonna do it. Yup. That's it.

  • Bleh

    I have a 60.61 in Biology. Sweet.

I also got a 70 on my Bible essay. She said my main problems were organization (I forgot to switch two paragraphs!) and grammar (haha, oops) but that I had some good ideas and stuff. I'm glad it wasn't a train wreck. Essays are not my forte, I'm deff emphasizing on creative writing when I transfer.

Um...June needs to come here like right now. Cause I'm going to Japan aaaaaannndddd I wanna leave now. OMG I AM GOING TO BE IN KYOTO FOR MY BIRTHDAY. DREAM COME TRUEEEEEE.

Uh...yea. Other than Biology kicking my ass, I'm a happy girl.

EDIT: Omg, I hope that didn't accidently go to Facebook.

  • My Friday, as promised.

    Alright. Friday. It was weird.

For those of you who do not know, people watching is one of my hobbies. Like...there are so many people out there to watch and stuff lol. Disney World was a great place, so was Renn Faire. Dan and I can sit at the mall forever heckling people and how they look/act. I love it. Anyway.

One Friday, I went to school, normal as usual. I was a wee little late but I was alright in the end. I had a quiz in Biology so I was rushing to it. On the way, I see a guy in a formal police uniform carrying a ton of boxes. Strange, I thought but moved on. Then I passed another one. And another one. Huh, I thought to myself, this is weird. But whatever, I went to class and failed my quiz. Awesome. I saw more uniformed guys.

So then I had an hour to kill before Japanese. I decided to study for it. Watashi wa an aran doru daigaku no gakusei desu. While I was studying, I was sitting on a bench near the bridge. It was peaceful, kind of cool out and like...no one was there...but that was cool. But then these two guys walked up to each other and started catching up with one another. They started talking about girls then. Keep in mind, I'm all alone of my bench and they're one their bench and no one else is around. So one of the guys starts talking about woman like they're living Goddesses:

"Man, you just gotta respect woman. I look at them and they're so amazing. I mean, they're the one thing that can produce life, you know? And you gotta respect that. There are so many of them--they're like stars--and it just takes that one woman to change your life forever. And that's amazing, you know? There are all kind of pretty girls out there and when you see one, you gotta stop and think and wonder if they're The One. And they're beautiful man. Like complete opposites of guys--it's amazing how they think and how their minds process..."

And he kept going on like that. While no one else is around and it's totally obvious that I'm just sitting there, not doing anyway and can hear every word they're saying. I was trying so hard not to laugh. Eventually I get up and go take my quiz.

After class, I go to my car and on the way, I see a million more uniformed guys. I was parked alllll the way in The Back. And I was parked in front of three undercover cop cars. I saw them when I came in but now they had the cops in them. And next to me was a woman putting her uniform on and further down the lot, there were at least 7-8 more uniformed guys. Like...it was state trooper day at AACC.

So anyway, I leave school and go to Dan's and we go off to Sam's Club to get his eyes checked out. We found some awesome old guy glasses and I found an awesome pair of black glasses that actually look good on me. Too bad they were Oakleys. After that we went to my bank (one of my Best Buy paychecks from May bounced) and then to McDonalds. At McDonalds, we saw--of all people--Ray Goodman.

Ray Goodman is a legend. I personally could care less about him, but Abby and Dan are smitten with him and treasure each moment they have with him (these moments only happen every few months, or years, or so). He's a retired Abe Lincoln impersonator and sells herb/miracle elixirs or something. When ever we see him, Abby and Dan rave about it for weeks on end and say "I can't believe we say RAY GOODMAN". Like...cause he actually exists. So yea, Dan was shocked to see him there. And we got a picture with him. It's now Dan's profile pic on Facebook.

As we were leaving McDonald's, a Mexican in a huge truck on West Street shouts something at me. Ugh.

Um...what else happened? Oh! We watched Howl's Moving Castle. I loooooved it. Cause a couple actually got together in a Miyazaki movie--I didn't think that happened. But it did. After that, we went to hang out with Kristin and later that night we went to P.F. Changs for their $2 mini desserts (Ayla and Justin--do that as a date, it's the best dessert evvveerrr). And we got Brendan again. We got Brendan last Friday too. He and Kristin fell in love (not really but I'm sure he liked her). He's a total bro and talks to us like we're either a) his lovers or b) his little 2 year old sister. It's weird. But he didn't charge me for my drink and last time he gave Kristin a free dessert. We kind of like Brendan for that. But we wish he wasn't so weird when talking.

So yea, that's pretty much it. If it didn't seem like a weird day, trust me it was.

  • Today was crazy.

Well...I was gonna tell you guys all about it but...I'm way too tired. It's so strange being tired and wanting to sleep this early (although it's not really early). I'll just write the story tomorrow after I GET BACK FROM ROCK CLIMBING. Yea.

In other news: I just thought of this. I suck at writing essays. Like really. And I'm tired of this. I have an essay due next week that I haven't even started cause of essay-anxiety and just not being good with my thoughts and words in them. Fiction writing--not prob, I'll write you up a 30 page story in no time. A three page essay? Not gonna happen. So, to battle this and try and actually get a good grade for it, I'm gonna go to the writing center at school on Monday and get help. "Hi, I'm Elizabeth and I'm a procrastinator."

Anyway. I'm going to bed. Good night all.

  • It's gone...

My laptop that is. The fan was making a horrible grinding sound. Like...the kind that a cassette tape makes when it's being eaten by it's player. I told the GeekSquad guy that to explain what it sounded like and he said he didn't remember cassettes--I didn't believe him.

Anyway, my lappy has been sent off to Sony for the next 2-3 weeks to be fixed. It sucks. I want Microsoft Word, I want my pictures, I want my Itunes. And yea, sure, Word is on this laptop (my brother's spare) but I want mine--the one with all my writing files and stuff. And I want my music. I'm going crazy with not being able to listen to anything. I was just getting in the Decemberists too! And I'm itching to write more of my story. I haven't really, actually written anything to it in like...way too long. And I just read through all my notes, looked through some polaroids, and, with the help of my Ipod, listened to the music that originally inspired me. But I don't have my lappy. Ugh. I guess I'll do some old fashioned hand writing.

So that's my laptop rant. In other news, school has been going well. I passed a Bio quiz, go me. Today we cleaned the house cause the land lady's coming for an informal inspection. I don't like her. Tomorrow I'm going to see how well I can swim and probably help Jake study for his Japanese quiz. Oh yea, and I have homework I need to do...ugh.

    Uh...I'm gonna go to sleep.

Fun fact: my Japanese book has the word for buttocks: oshiri (if my translation is correct (haha, that's fun to say)). Just though you guys might be interested (Dan).
